I find it odd that after being trapped on that island for an undisclosed amout of time that he still manages to keep his goatee trimmed. Or maybe I'm just buying too much into the show.

They DID find razors in some of the luggage, and the hatch has just about every kind of grooming accessory you can imagine, it seems. But that seems entirely logical (at former) because razors and grooming equipment are pretty standard to have on a flight. ...Although if these things are available, which again makes sense, why does nobody actually SHAVE?
